This week has been kind of crazy! I don't have too much time to email because I'm actually in Mt. Pleasant with Elder Smith, Jeffs, and Huntsman. We are going to tour Charleston today and meet up with Elder Bassett, Huston, Russell, and another Elder since they are pretty close by!
I got to see Elder Root this morning too! He's doing pretty great and he loves the Mt. Pleasant ward. I was also able to see my convert Mary! She has been struggling with some things so I thought it would be a good idea to visit her today. She seemed really happy. :) She is awesome! I talked to her about how she needs to keep working towards the temple so that I can meet her there in August!
So about my tooth...
We went to a gas station to grab a drink before heading in after working and as I opened a straw wrapper with my teeth the cap on my front tooth just fell right off! I didn't even notice and then I felt it missing in my mouth! I found the piece on the floor after a second. Luckily those 2 root canals I've had have killed the nerves so my tooth didn't hurt at all. Brother Wellman is a dentist in the ward and he hooked me up with an appointment the next day and i was able to get it replaced. All 3 of the other elders laughed at me the whole time hahaha. It was pretty funny. Weird stuff happens in the Lexington apartment haha.
This week has been great. We have been passing out the ward mission plan to every family in their home so that we can talk to them about it personally and also talk about how they will fulfill the goals that are set in it as a family. It's been working really well! The Polanders lit up with it last night and now we are having a huge BBQ at their house on Saturday for our investigators and Less Actives!!!! I'm way excited. Our investigators are doing pretty good. Chris Vines, who was ready for baptism gave us news that he got a new job in West Virginia and they are moving Thursday. He'll get baptized up there for sure. We will miss him and his wife Diana.
We had a ton of lessons the past 2 days. We had 4 a day this weekend and add that on to what we had already taught from the rest of the week. I'm super happy with everything and Elder Smith and are helping a family stop smoking, helping the Kyzers progress to their baptism, and having interviews with President (which will be a companionship interview to discuss our goals together so that we can always meet the standards of excellence), and a lot of other things. The standards of excellence have changed and we meet them in some categories, but not in others on most weeks. We are really striving to meet them this transfer and it has been a challenge but we can tell that we are slowly moving upwards in numbers so we should hit them this transfer. Should be a great week!
Have a good one!
