Ryan and Sarah's Wedding Photos!
Hawaii August 2012
We took over 1,000 pictures in Hawaii, so I'm going to break them down into separate galleries. We used the sport mode a lot so there are many pictures that look alike, but it is fun to look through them and see the action. If you click on a picture it will enlarge and you can read more about it.
Mount Haleakala
WARNING! These first few pictures are a little PG... Like I said on the blog, the altitude might have really affected the boys' mental clarity. Or, they went a little crazy after being in the car for the 2 hours it took to get all the way up to the top of the volcano!
Big Beach
One of the boys' favorite beaches is about a 45 minute drive from where we stay in Kaanpali. It is just past Wailea and is actually called Makena Beach, but Big Beach is just the perfect name for it. It's all about the waves at Big Beach. There can be some pretty strong under tow, but the waves are really fun. Great body surfing, boogie boarding and skim boarding. The boys haven't tried skim boarding yet, but we have seen some incredible tricks by some pretty talented local guys on Big Beach. Yes, if your next question was "Is there a Little Beach near Big Beach?" Little Beach is just down the way from Big Beach, but we never go there... clothing is optional!

Photos Past and Present...
I'm going to use this page to post old pictures and new. I love looking back and remembering our little family, and then seeing the growth in them as the years pass us by. Check out these little... and then big... boys!
Our First Trip to Destin, Florida
March, 2001
Just a day's drive east from our home in Texas is the heavenly Emerald Coast and sugar sand beaches of the Gulf. I think I can say with some confidence, that these are the most gorgeous beaches in the continental US. I grew up in So. California with some wonderful beaches, but the beaches in the Florida Panhandle take the top prize in my opinion.
This was our first trip there and the boys were 3, 7 and 10. I'm finding it hard to believe that any of us were ever that young! Or is it just that I can't believe we are all this old?!?! It's a conundrum. We went for spring break in March and found the water to be colder than we would have liked. We always went back later in the year so we could enjoy warmer water. So many wonderful memories, so much bonding for these amazing brothers. How can a mom look at these photos and NOT have tears of joy? My most cherished times are the ones we have spent away from home and all the distractions. JUST. US. FIVE.
