Miriam has been great this week too. We stopped by and her neighbor Donna was over and Miriam wanted us to teach Donna while we were there. Donna had a son die at 37 just 9 months ago and so we taught her the Plan of Salvation and it was a really great lesson. Miriam taught with us and told Donna how great her life has been since she was baptized. She has been on fire!
This week was busy and we got a ton done. I'm really glad that Elder Smith and i get along so well because that is what has been helping us work so hard and be blessed with so much work.
Thanks for the quotes Mom and Dad. I definitely know that personal revelation has been the biggest thing that has helped me learn and grow out here. And the quote by Hinckley made me happier and I will try my best to take his advice. I listened to one of the talks that Brother Stacey gave me by Hinckley and it helped me out a lot this week. It was "Beware of Pride". It might have been originally by Benson or someone else but it was really good.
I'm glad that y'all had a great time watching the Rangers, Padres, and Stanford!
The funniest thing that happened this week was that Elder Smith had to do the ice cream challenge at the Briles last night hahaha. He had to eat 1.5 quarts of his favorite ice cream. I had to do it when I first got here it was awful but I did it! Brother Briles played Eye of The Tiger while Elder Smith was eating hahaha.
Another funny thing that happened was that we were riding our bikes on Thursday and I ran over a huge nail and it made my tire go flat way fast. Elder Smith and I had to walk a mile and a half to the car and the whole we were laughing about it and he was making fun of me and went "If it makes you feel better my tire isn't flat" and then literally a minute later he looked at his back tire and went "CRAP" and his went flat hahahah!
This week went really well and I hope that you have a good one this week.
Love,
Elder Bills
