So I have some pretty cool news for this week! Transfers are in two days on Wednesday and on Saturday I got a call from Elder Willie (he's one of the AP's) and he said that President Holm has called me to be a District Leader. So I'm getting transferred in two days. I have no idea where, but I feel really great about it. I had a feeling I was going to get transferred for some reason. This whole week I had a thought every once in a while that I was leaving. I'll find out where I'm heading on Wednesday so I'll let y'all know next Monday where I am and who my new companion is. Elder Bowen is getting transferred too and he's training which is pretty cool.
I'm really going to miss this place and all of the people that I've met here. I really feel that I got to know all of the members here so well. They all have blessed my life so much and I wish I could have known them longer! I honestly didn't want to get transferred either. I had actually talked to President Holm about it in my interview with him. He said that he knows that I want to stay and impact Boiling Springs the most that I can and stay with E. Lavulo until he goes home, and that he will take it into account when he prays and thinks about where I should go next. Well it's obvious I have a good mission president because I know and feel that he really prayed and thought hard about my situation and feelings, but in the end he still listened to Heavenly Father and he followed the Spirit when it told him where I should go. I'm very grateful that Heavenly Father has called me to a different place with different people because He knows that I've got something or someone else that is waiting for me in another area. There's a lot of change going on in my life and I'm putting my trust in the Lord because I know he will make everything okay.
Speaking of change, President Holm leaves next week on Tuesday. We had Zone Conference this past week with him and Sister Holm here. It was really sad to see them let go of what they love so much. I can tell that they love the missionaries, people, gospel, and the state of SC so much and I can't even imagine how hard it must be to just let go of it on a certain day and never look back. I look up to them a lot. Everything they do is for others around them and it's left a lasting impression on me. I hugged President and I'll be able to say bye to him one more time at transfers, but then that will be it for a while. I'm excited to meet President Turner though! President Holm talked about him and showed us a photo of him. He looks like Jay Leno haha. I can't wait to see what he brings to the mission as a new president.
Otherwise there isn't much else specifically that I can think of. Just that I learned to be thankful of my circumstances at all times and remember that Heavenly Father calls us to do things that we don't even see ourselves doing, but if we put our trust in him, we can do what he needs us to do and more. I'm going to miss this place a lot more than anything in the world, but I'm going on to what I need to do next in my life. I'm excited and happy to see what is going to happen next around here. I have no worries about where I'm going or what I'm going to do or how hard it may be because I know in who I have trusted in, and that's my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Hope you all had a wonderful week. I hope that you all have been blessed in everything that you do.
Love
Elder Sean Bills
