It was so great to be able to talk to my family yesterday! It felt like that I had never left and that everything at home was the same. It really made me happy to see that my whole family is the exact same way from when I left them. It brought me a lot of peace to know that everything at home is fine, and almost paused until I get back in a sense. I had so much to say in so little time, and it was just a really great experience, especially after this week.
This week was just really weird haha. Elder Welty went home, we got in a car accident, I'm in a 3 pack with Elder Bowen and Hugh, and there wasn't much I could do in my area because of all the craziness. The car accident was pretty fun. I don't think that I got to mention that the other driver completely faked being injured. She insisted she had to be taken to the hospital on a stretcher and the paramedics looked at her like she was dumb haha. She was walking around and talking on the phone and looking around before the medics showed up, and then when they got here she wouldn't move at all. It was lame. We were blessed with a really cool officer though. His name was Officer Elder! And he said since we were doing the Lord's work out in the rain, he gave E. Hugh an 80 dollar ticket instead of a 250 dollar one! So it's nice to see how we can still be blessed even if something like a car accident can happen.
I feel bad that the church has to deal with the lady that we hit. Also sad that she'll suffer a consequence some day for being dishonest.
Always be honest and stay in school mom. (Sage advice indeed)
This next week should be pretty interesting too since I go and pick up my comp on Wednesday at transfers. Most of the companions of all the people I came out with are leaving and so hopefully I can see the Elders that I was with at the MTC to see how they're doing. Otherwise there isn't much else that happened this week. I haven't have found anyone to teach yet, but I pray every day to be guided out to find the people that are ready to hear what I have to say. In the time that I don't have anyone to teach, I'm trying my best to strengthen all the members whether they have been active or not. It's been a bit frustrating not having anyone to teach, but I'm not going to find anyone until I really get out there and go to them. I'm super happy and I know that if I just work a little harder then I can be blessed. This week should be a good one and I'm excited for it!
I'm glad I got to talk to you guys yesterday! And the next time will come faster than I think. I hope you have a good week.
Love,
Elder Sean Bills
