Ryan and Sarah are engaged! Saturday, July 13, 2013
Here is how it happened straight from Sarah:
Ryan surprised her earlier in the week with the gift of a massage scheduled for Saturday. They planned to go out to dinner and then up Provo Canyon to spend a fun evening together by a campfire. The massage was great, dinner was great and they went up the canyon. Unexpectedly, the rain started pouring. This made Ryan really mad, but Sarah didn't understand what the big deal was and why a little rain upset him so much. She suggested they just go back to Ryan's apartment and watch a movie. They were sitting in the car, but it wasn't going anywhere. Again, Sarah was confused, but then Ryan pulled out the ring!
It may not have gone exactly the way Ryan planned, but he sure got the results he was hoping for~
SHE SAID YES!
When they called us last night to tell us they were engaged, we were quite surprised. We knew this was going to happen, but Ryan convinced us that he still had a little ways to go before he could buy the ring. He convinced Sarah of the same thing. Ryan chose a pearl for her engagement ring because it is her absolute favorite!

It was a wonderful surprise and we are thrilled that this beautiful young woman is going to become a member of our family. We have grown to love her more and more each day. We have watched the way she loves our son and how that love inspires him to be a better man every day. We admire her quiet strength, love her dazzling smile, and look forward to finally having another female in the family with the last name of Bills.
A date will be set soon, but they are planning to be married in the Dallas Temple during Christmas break of this year.
