Also this past week I got to give a blessing to an investigator's daughter that the sisters in my district have been teaching, and also a member of our ward who has had a terrible lung infection for the past month. It felt really great to know that I got to help them, and that they can get better quickly because I helped them out with a blessing. We also got the opportunity to teach Jake and his brother Steven this week. They really liked our message and said that they really wanted to pray and find out if what we are teaching them is true, and they committed to be baptized on April 12th! Hopefully they will keep progressing to that date. They're both really awesome guys. They're really smart and the fact that they want to hear about the truth of their lives at such a young age impresses me a lot. You don't see young people like that very often. We also met Cory this past week. He was referred to us by the Spanish missionaries, and we talked with him, taught him, and invited him to church and he came! He absolutely loved it. He's only 18 years old and he seems really quiet and shy, but every time someone at church would come talk to him, he would smile and I could tell he liked the friendship he got. He said he wants us to teach him today with a member that he actually is tutoring, so that will definitely be a great lesson. He wants to come back to church also. He's a really nice kid, and I really really hope he progresses with the Gospel for some reason. He's set to be baptized on April 9th, but we may change it to the end of this month depending on how everything goes.
Carl and Dory are alright. They said they would come to church but they didn't. Keep praying for them please. They're close to progressing I just know it. And the Bishop family was unfortunately evicted from their hotel, and they moved to another hotel that is in Elder Willie's and Elder Bowen's area, the other two elders I live with in our ward. So we may keep teaching them we may not. It's a shame but right now life is throwing a lot at them and they just need to get settled before we can keep teaching them. We tried to this week but we couldn't.
This week turned out to be really great, even if I wasn't especially happy or excited about anything. It was just really awesome. I actually also gave the lesson in Gospel Principles about the Atonement yesterday. It went really good and I shared a story that I remember reading that I'll link in here. It's a really amazing story.
The Room - A Story of Atonement and Redemption
I've also for some reason have been reading a ton too... Yeah I know it's weird because I never read. Yesterday I read about the entire book of Mosiah plus more. I learned a lot from reading it.
I'm glad y'all liked your letters. I liked your emails from last week. They were awesome and I'm glad that my family is such an amazing support to me.
I hope you all have a great week
Love
