So the week started out really well. We found a guy named Dan a little while back, and we had a lesson with him at the church. We gave him a church tour and he liked it a lot. He's really hardcore catholic and he had some concerns that he has always had about our church and we talked a lot about them with him. The lesson went well and it seems like he really wants to learn more after these concerns are cleared up and so Elder Bowen and I have been studying about that, and we feel like we have some good answers for him. Also Sister Holliday (she is a former Catholic) is going to come with us to teach him this week. She's really a really amazing older lady and I think she can help out a lot. Later in the week, I went on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. I went over in Goose Creek with Elder Hawkes and we had a really great time together. Elder Hawkes looks like toby macguire too which is pretty legit haha. We had a lot of good lessons together too. We taught a girl named Deesha and we committed her for baptism in the first lesson! She seemed really great and I hope it goes well with her. The exchange was fun and I learned a lot from him. So when I got home.... I walked in the bathroom and there were two huge crabs in the bathtub haha. Elder Bowen had a lesson with a member here and he caught a bunch of crab so he gave some to us and we boiled them and ate them, it was sweet. We messed with the crabs in the tub for a little while before we cooked them too haha. We got plastic objects and fought the crabs with them.
Later in the week I got to interview a lady the sisters in my district were teaching for baptism. She was a really inspiring person to talk to for sure. She told me about herself and how the gospel had changed her and I could definitely tell that she had changed a lot since she was taught the gospel. It was really inspiring to see that this week because I still haven't baptized anyone quite yet, and I haven't seen someone change like that in a long time. I really liked talking with her and she is gonna be baptized this weekend! So also this weekend went really well too. At church we brought up in ward council that we all are making a ward mission plan and Bishop Hallam was up for it. The ward has been hard to work with in terms of doing missionary work and home teaching and fellowship, and so we are trying to unify everyone through those three things and having us help them home teach as they help us in our work and fellowshipping. Brother Brown has been working hard with us and we are going to make a ward mission plan and then have a ward fireside to present it with everyone so that they all can know it. I hope it changes the ward and gets them to be more proactive. The missionaries here in the past weren't the best at working with them and so I think that they're excited to see what we are going to change.
Lastly, Mary came to church again finally! She had an amazing time and now that she's come to church again, she can be baptized this weekend. We just have to get her an interview this week and then she will be baptized. I'm really excited for her because I've seen her in such deep depression and now I'm seeing her a lot happier and ready to move on. She was fellowshipped by a lot of members yesterday and it was great to see her so happy. The members really stepped up and helped her. This weekend is going to be great. I'm excited to see Mary get baptized and to help her get there.
Well that's about it. I'll send some pictures in a minute too from the aquarium! This week was awesome and I'm really excited to see how things are going to change. I'm really faithful that a lot of great things are going to happen. I hope your week was awesome too. Keep being happy because if you work hard and wait the tough times out, you get blessings and success after! :)
Love
