I think that this week went pretty well. Not much happened to be honest though. Elder Bowen and I have been working really hard to get out and find people to teach. The area here had no investigators when we got here, and so we are trying to get everything organized and we're talking with everyone that we can to see if they're interested. I'm basically doing what I did when I first got to Boiling Springs all over again. The map here was really old and outdated, and so we got a new one and Brother Hale, a member here took us to his office yesterday to blow it up so that we could get it up on the wall. Brother Hale is the CEO of a company called Sawgrass and so that was really nice of him to let us use his copy machine in his office. There's been a lot of knocking and going back and forth to Less Active members this week. We have a few potential investigators that we are following up with in the next few days so hopefully they will turn into people that we can teach!
I have a really good feeling about this week. I know that we are going to find people soon. I fasted this fast Sunday so that I can get all the help I can from The Lord in my efforts to find people. We all finally got to meet President Turner too! It was a really great meeting. Him and his wife are great people and I can tell they are exactly what this mission needs right now. They are kind and loving and ready to lead all of the missionaries here. I have an interview with him on Friday with Elder Bowen, so that should go really well. I think that the district is doing better here too. We've been setting a lot of goals together to improve and have better chances of finding people. There's 8 missionaries in my district so they've been keeping me pretty busy haha. It's been fun being a district leader and getting to know everyone here. They're all great and they all work really hard.
I can't think of much anything else that was exciting this week. The hurricane wasn't even that bad. It didn't rain at all and there was just a little wind here and there so everything here is fine. I was kind of disappointed because watching storms is really cool. Oh and also the Bentons, a family here, are going to cook up some gator and we're going to go over there for dinner this week which should be really awesome. I've only had gator once and it's really good. I still haven't seen a gator out here yet, but I'll find one soon. They're everywhere here.
Anyway, this week is going to require a lot of patience and hard work. I haven't taught a full lesson in forever and it's killing me so we are trying really hard to find some people. I'll let you know how it goes this next week.
Love
Elder Sean Bills
PS: Thank you all for your support and replies to my email last week. I loved reading all of them and they helped me. It was a hard week but I learned a lot about myself and I'm glad that I tried my best. Everything is better now!
